SUMMARY:NZ and South Island Golf Championships
DESCRIPTION:Event Overview \nHosted by the Dunedin Police Golf Club and proudly supported by Police Sport and the New Zealand Police Association\, this year’s championships will be held from 1-3 November 2026 at the spectacular St Clair Golf Club in Dunedin. Renowned for its breathtaking clifftop location overlooking St Clair Beach and the Pacific Ocean\, competitors can look forward to three days of outstanding golf in one of New Zealand’s most scenic settings. \nGet in Quick – Places Are Limited \nThe tournament field is limited to the first 120 paid entries\, with any additional registrations placed on a waiting list. If you’re planning to tee off in Dunedin this November\, don’t leave your registration until the last minute. \n2026 Golf Champs – initial info pack – final \nPolice Sport 2026 Golf Championships Registration Form – final \nTournament Format \nCompetitors will contest a 72-hole stroke play championship across three days\, while the Veterans division (subject to sufficient entries) will compete over 54 holes. \nPlayers will compete in the following grades: \n\n\n\nSenior\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntermediate A\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntermediate B\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJunior\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLadies* (subject to entries)\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVeterans* (subject to entries)\n\n\n\nGross and net prizes will be contested across all grades. \nMore Than Just Great Golf \nThe championships are shaping up to be another fantastic Police Sport event\, combining quality competition with plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues from around the country. \nEntrants can also look forward to: \n\n\n\nDiscounted practice rounds before the tournament\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn-course BBQ and refreshment stations\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDaily prizes\, nearest-the-pin and long drive competitions\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCalcutta auction and clubhouse raffle\n\n\nTournament dinner and prizegiving on Tuesday evening\, included in the entry fee.\n\n  \nPlease contact Iain Notman (iain.notman@police.govt.nz) for more information.
