NZ and South Island Golf Championships

Event Overview

Hosted by the Dunedin Police Golf Club and proudly supported by Police Sport and the New Zealand Police Association, this year’s championships will be held from 1-3 November 2026 at the spectacular St Clair Golf Club in Dunedin. Renowned for its breathtaking clifftop location overlooking St Clair Beach and the Pacific Ocean, competitors can look forward to three days of outstanding golf in one of New Zealand’s most scenic settings.

Get in Quick – Places Are Limited

The tournament field is limited to the first 120 paid entries, with any additional registrations placed on a waiting list. If you’re planning to tee off in Dunedin this November, don’t leave your registration until the last minute.

Tournament Format

Competitors will contest a 72-hole stroke play championship across three days, while the Veterans division (subject to sufficient entries) will compete over 54 holes.

Players will compete in the following grades:

• • Senior

• • Intermediate A

• • Intermediate B

• • Junior

• • Ladies* (subject to entries)

• • Veterans* (subject to entries)

Gross and net prizes will be contested across all grades.

More Than Just Great Golf

The championships are shaping up to be another fantastic Police Sport event, combining quality competition with plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues from around the country.

Entrants can also look forward to:

• • Discounted practice rounds before the tournament

• • On-course BBQ and refreshment stations

• • Daily prizes, nearest-the-pin and long drive competitions

• • Calcutta auction and clubhouse raffle
• Tournament dinner and prizegiving on Tuesday evening, included in the entry fee.
