Interservices Hockey 22 to 24 July 2025

The NZ Police men’s and women’s hockey teams have been invited to compete in this years Interservices Hockey Tournament hosted by Services and held at the Hockey turf at Donnelly Park in Levin.

Results from Day 1

Men Vs Navy we won 5 -0 this has been the nemesis team for the men for the last few years and with 4 new players we finally managed to get past our nemesis.  The players all combined and worked well together.  It was a great result.

Women Vs Air Force we won 5-0 got off to as bit of a slow start but really combined well and got the job done. A good result for the start of the tournament

Day 2

Women Vs Army we won 6-0 Again a bit of a slower start but we got into our work and got to 2 nil at half time.  The second half became a bit faster  but we had an edge and converted a number of penalty corners to win 6 nil.  A great result.

Men vs Army we won 2-1 a great result with a game played at a very fast pace and from end to end with a number of chances to either side but we ended the first half at 0-0 and into the second half

The men went from end to end an scored a great field goal and within a minute the army had struck back so 1-1 Out to the final few minutes and we won a penalty which was converted so out to 2-1 with a minute 30 to play  but we held them out to secure the win

One of our players took a stick to the head and was off to hospital to have it stitched and one of the defenders blew a calf so he will be out for tomorrow.

Both teams played well and had some great moves for a teams that got together on Monday afternoon.

All the best for Thursday.

Women vs Navy at 10.00
