Dust off your clubs and start planning your trip south – registrations are now officially open for the 2026 New Zealand & South Island Police Sport Golf Championships!
Hosted by the Dunedin Police Golf Club and proudly supported by the New Zealand Police Association, this year’s championships will be held from 1-3 November 2026 at the spectacular St Clair Golf Club in Dunedin. Renowned for its breathtaking clifftop location overlooking St Clair Beach and the Pacific Ocean, competitors can look forward to three days of outstanding golf in one of New Zealand’s most scenic settings.

The tournament field is limited to the first 120 paid entries, with any additional registrations placed on a waiting list. If you’re planning to tee off in Dunedin this November, don’t leave your registration until the last minute.
Tournament Format
Competitors will contest a 72-hole stroke play championship across three days, while the Veterans division (subject to sufficient entries) will compete over 54 holes.
Players will compete in the following grades:
- Senior
- Intermediate A
- Intermediate B
- Junior
- Ladies* (subject to entries)
- Veterans* (subject to entries)
Gross and net prizes will be contested across all grades.

The championships are shaping up to be another fantastic Police Sport event, combining quality competition with plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues from around the country.
Entrants can also look forward to:
- Discounted practice rounds before the tournament
- On-course BBQ and refreshment stations
- Daily prizes, nearest-the-pin and long drive competitions
- Calcutta auction and clubhouse raffle
- Tournament dinner and prizegiving on Tuesday evening, included in the entry fee.

St Clair Golf Club offers excellent facilities, including a full driving range, practice greens, café and bar, making it the perfect venue for both competition and relaxation throughout the tournament. Camper van parking for self-contained vehicles is also available for those travelling around the country.
